Regional Jail Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

The Northern Neck Regional Jail is seeking candidates for a full time Qualified Mental Health Professional to provide case management and counseling to incarcerated individuals. Duties include performing assessments of inmate needs; individual counseling, case management of chronic, acute, and crisis stages of mentally ill individuals, provide sound clinical documentation, and attend regular staffing meetings.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human services, psychology, sociology, or closely related field.  Clinical experience preferred.

Registration with Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-A, preferred.
