Wetlands Board Public Hearings - Requests by Fridley, Hedlund, Robertson, Slayton, Proctor Hill Family Farms, and White Sand Harbour POA - July 8, 2025

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, commencing at 5:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

  1. Request by Vernon Fridley (V.M.R.C.#25-1197) to install 150 linear feet of timber bulkhead along the shoreline of the Little Wicomico River and 494 Forest Green Road.
  2. Request by John Hedlund (V.M.R.C. #25-1233) to install 190 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of a failing bulkhead and eroding bank along the shoreline of Tipers Creek and 494 Wicomico Drive.
  3. Request by Gregory Robertson (V.M.R.C. #25-0853) to install 90 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Bells Creek and 449 East Fairway Drive.
  4. Request by Scott Slayton (V.M.R.C. #25-1032) to install 246 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of an existing failing bulkhead and install 112 linear feet of marsh sill along the shoreline of Horn Harbor and 161 Bridgewater Drive.
  5. Request by Proctor Hall Family Farms, LLC. (V.M.R.C. #25-0789) to conduct a 102’x32’ dredge with 6900 sq. ft of dredge material and install two (2) jetties along the shoreline of Dividing Creek and 315 Jarvis Point Lane.
  6. White Sand Harbour POA, Inc. (V.M.R.C. #25-1234) for an after-the-fact permit to allow a 24’ x 12’ concrete boat ramp constructed in the footprint of a previously existing timber boat ramp along the shoreline of Lowes Pond and Tax Map Parcel #19-A(3)-261-A on White Sand Drive.
