Wetlands Public Hearing - Requests by Demuth, Jones, Leona, Liesfeld, Toia - April 14, 2026

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, commencing at 5:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

  1. Request by Thomas J. Demuth (V.M.R.C.#26-0285) to remove 100 feet of bulkhead and install 100 linear feet of riprap revetment and to top existing groin with 85 linear feet of stone along the shoreline of Potomac River and 121 Pine Shore Lane.
  2. Request by Mark Jones (V.M.R.C.#26-0129) to install 326 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Cockrells Creek and 127 Mollys Lane.
  3. Request by Anthony J. Leona (V.M.R.C.#26-0398) to conduct a maintenance dredge of 160 cubic yards along the shoreline of Dividing Creek and 2055 Ditchley Road.
  4. Request by Lawrence Liesfeld (V.M.R.C.#26-0161) to install 70 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Cockrells Creek and 103 Mollys Lane.
  5. Request by Mark A.& Theresa Toia (V.M.R.C.#26-0515) ) to install 75 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Bells Cove and 70 Bells Creek Lane.
