Wetlands Board Public Hearing - Requests by Harbour Pointe and Wittkamp - February 10, 2026
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, commencing at 5:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:
- Request by Harbour Pointe HOA (V.M.R.C.#25-2567) to construct a landward extension to an existing timber groin along the shoreline of the Potomac River and Tax Map Parcel #20-C(2)-14-A at the cul-de-sac on Riverside Court.
- Request by Jessica Wittkamp (V.M.R.C.#26-0015) to install 297 linear feet of armor stone revetment channelward of an existing bulkhead and to remove five (5) failed timber groins and replace with five (5) 48’ low-profile timber groins along the shoreline of the Potomac River and 845 Virmar Beach Road.

Interested members of the public will be able to participate in the meeting physically and through electronic means (telephonic).
