Wetlands Board Public Hearings - Request by Burke, Geiger, Muzzio, Ross, Scherbenske, Self, Tidey, and Toth - October 14, 2025

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, commencing at 5:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

  1. Request by Landon M. Burke (V.M.R.C.#25-1740) to install 250 linear feet of riprap sill, 166 linear feet of riprap marsh sills and install 85 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Hack Creek and 621 Wildlife Lane.
  2. Request by Lucas S.& Sherri M. Geiger (V.M.R.C.#25-2105) to install 232 linear feet of riprap revetment and install 30 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Hull Creek 697 Earls Lane.
  3. Request by Robert Muzzio (V.M.R.C.#25-1926) to install 70 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Cockrell Creek and 2692 Fleeton Road.
  4. Request by Henry Ross (V.M.R.C. #25-1861) to repair and add additional stone to 190 linear feet of existing armor stone revetment and install a 10-foot stone return along the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay and 337 Lane Road.
  5. Request by John Scherbenske (V.M.R.C.#25-1682) to install 160 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of the Great Wicomico River and 1203 Eagle Point Road.
  6. Request by Harry Lee Self, et al (V.M.R.C.#25-2120) to install 61 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Kingscote Creek and 268 and 282 Kingscote Drive.
  7. Request by R. Scott Tidey (V.M.R.C.#25-1860) to install 48 linear feet of riprap revetment and install a 20 linear foot spur along the shoreline of Indian Creek and 180 Waterbury Road.
  8. Request by Arpad Toth (V.M.R.C.#25-2093) to install 195 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of an existing failing bulkhead and eroding bank along the shoreline of Cranes Creek and 312 Stilwater Drive.
